New book by former President Aristide out in Haitian bookstores

Port-au-Prince, Haiti — Former President Jean Bertrand Aristide published a new book on Friday, March 16, 2012, titled: Pwezi filosofik pou dekolonizasyon mantal | Philosophical Reflections for Mental Decolonization.

In this book, which he wrote while he was in exile in South Africa, Dr. Aristide used 100 proverbs drawn from the Swahili language to specify the path to that freedom for which the ancestors and Toussaint Louverture sacrificed themselves.

Swahili languages ​​are a group of Bantu languages ​​from East Africa and result from a mixture of languages​​.

Pwezi filosofik pou dekolonizasyon mantal, le nouveau livre de l’ancien président Aristide sort en librairies ce vendredi en Haïti

Port-au-Prince, Haiti — Sort en librairies ce vendredi le nouveau livre de l’ancien président Jean Bertrand Aristide: Haïti: Pwezi filosofik pou dekolonizasyon mantal (Poésies philosophiques pour la décolonisation mentale).

Dans ce livre qu’il a écrit alors qu’il etait en exil en Afrique du Sud, le Dr Aristide a utilisé 100 proverbes tirés de la langue Swahili pour indiquer le chemin de la liberté, cette liberté pour laquelle, les ancêtres et Toussaint Louverture se sont sacrifiés.

Les langues swahilies sont un groupe de langues bantoues de l’Afrique de l’Est, fruit d’un métissage de langues.

La traduction anglaise de cet ouvrage a déjà été publiée aux Etats-Unis par l’imprimerie “Paradigm Press” et est disponible sur amazon.com

Pwezi filozofik pou dekolonizasyon mantal dont la version créole est imprimée chez Henri Deschamps, n’est pas le seul ouvrage realisé au cours de son exil. Le Dr Aristide a su trouver suffisamment de ressources pour consacrer aussi un livre à la mémoire du précurseur de l’Independance d’Haïti: Toussaint Louverture et la Révolution Haitienne.

Pwezi filozofik pou dekolonizasyon mantal a été achevé peu avant le retour d’exil le 18 mars 2011 de l’ancien president constitutionnel forcé au départ le 29 février 2004.
